A MIM body and a Warmoth quarter-sawn maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Bridge is a six-saddle MIM, scratchplate is MIA as is neck plate.

I bought the neck and body off ebay:

I shielded the control cavities with copper tape and made sure the bridge was properly grounded. After lots of thought I invested in some Blackguard Flat 50s from Bare Knuckle Pickups (which are absolutely stunning BTW):

All that then remained was:

  • Adjust the neck pocket to make it completely flat for the neck
  • Cut the nut slots
  • Polish and flatten the frets
  • Adjust the truss rod
  • Setup the action
  • Adjust the pickup height (Sorry no photos of the above).

    It plays really well and sounds incredible - just kicking myself for not getting a tele years ago ! If the Bare Knuckle Pickups disappeared in a puff of smoke I'd be on the phone to get another set immediately - they're that good...
