Cowshill Farm Dig, Hewelsfield

The entrance is in the field west of the Chepstow Coleford road, and south of the footpath opposite Church Lane joining from Hewelsfield Village at the low point in the road.

Park on the verge near the foot path. Either walk along the footpath and climb over the first gate on the left and walk diagonally back along the field to the tree lined ponded depression. The shaft is now about 7.5m deep.
